Dependable, effective UV water treatment ensures peak product quality

Plant source water is often chlorinated. Chlorine can negatively effect product quality. Activated carbon filters are capable of removing residual chlorine, but also provide a substrate for bacteria growth. Bacteria can migrate from filters and contaminate production equipment and even the final product, possibly affecting product taste, odor, color and shelf life.

TrojanUVLogicTM - Providing superior disinfection and chlorine destruction

Ultraviolet (UV) light is well established as a fast acting, point-of-contact disinfection technology for water treatment. UV, at the 254 nm wavelength, penetrates the cell walls of microorganisms and permanently alters their DNA structure – rendering them inactive and unable to reproduce. UV effectively inactivates bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms that can impair product quality. TrojanUVLogic™ systems achieve microbe inactivations greater than 99.99%, delivering pure water for your process needs.

The TrojanUVLogic™ systems also provide chlorine and chloramines dsetruction.  UV performs the same function as conventional sodium meta-bisulfite and carbon technologies without the addition of chemicals and without providing a substrate for bacteria growth.  The UV dose requirement for chlorine/chloramines destruction also provides simultaneous disinfection and ozone destruction. The destruction of chlorine and chloramines also helps protect chlorine-sensitive reverse osmosis (RO) membranes.

Quality components and sanitary manufacturing processes to meet strict standards

Incorporating high-quality materials such as machined end plates and seamless tubing, the TrojanUVLogic™ product line meets stringent FDA sanitary requirements for the food & beverage industry.

Advanced design reduces space and lamp requirements

The TrojanUVLogic™ reactor chamber hydraulically outperforms conventional UV reactors by as much as 40%, and can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Reduced footprint and lamp requirements allow you to install the TrojanUVLogic™ system in compact spaces, saving valuble room and decreasing installation expenses. Fewer lamps results in lower operational and maintenance costs.
